Kuma is the most feared of all evil within New Africa. She breathes torture and spreads destruction. With a thirst for power, she creates a world of angst and violence. Her allegiance lies within the depths of the underworld, and is in many ways more animalistic than any of the beasts that now roam the land.
The Rhino’s existence is shrouded in mystery. Only one of its kind is said to walk the earth. Stories have spread across the land that HE is indeed real. Some tell tales of his enormous size and that he alone is the only one that can conquer Kuma.
While a well fed hyena would have a grotesquely swollen stomach filled with meat from it’s kills, a Wrinkled Bellied Hyena is far more feared by lions and buffalo alike. The level of danger with a Wrinkled Bellied Hyena can be judged by the number of wrinkles visible on the sunken core of their bellies. This hyena in particular is in a state of hunger and is far too dangerous and unpredictable to approach.
Nightmare Rhino presents Carnal®,
a story about animals and humans upsetting the balance of nature.Nightmare Rhino is a production company that originates from a dream about a humanistic rhinoceros slaying an enemy hyena while warriors from the hyena’s clan claw fiercely to its back. This snapshot formed the basis for Carnal®, a story about animals and humans upsetting the balance of nature. It has been in the development process for over 8 years, with many of the ideas stemming from documentaries and series on animals and their natural enemies.
Artwork for Carnal® began shortly after the nightmare and has been a work in progress ever since. In October of 2002 a gallery was held premiering the idea and concepts of Carnal® in hopes of finding an author to begin a story line. After some time this process died down as it wasn’t an immediate success. The artist at this point continued with his commercial work for Liquid Blue a company based in Massachusetts. Years passed but the intrigue of Carnal® never subsided. Artwork still flowed from the paintbrush and sketches were touched up and organized. At this point in summer of 2007 it was realized that the desire to bring this creation back into the limelight was undeniable. It was then that the artist called upon a few colleagues to begin once again the vivacity of Carnal®.
Our Goal is to see our world brought to life in the pages of books, comic book or any medium that show case’s the dark vision of Carnal.
